It’s a beautiful day in Crofton, so I took advantage of the clear sky and mild temperature to drive around the community and take photos for FocusOnCrofton.com. As I looked around, there seemed to be a lot more FOR SALE signs than I’ve seen in Crofton for a long time. While I do track Crofton home listings online every day, as part of my work, it startled me to see so many homes for sale in real life and not just on a computer screen or printout.
So how many are there? Surprisingly, there are only 114 town homes and 65 detached homes currently for sale in the entire 21114 zip codes. My research proves one thing: We all got spoiled over the past few years, with homes selling practically by word of mouth. The only signs we saw then were SOLD signs, so of course it seems like there are a lot of homes for sale today.
While I had the data in front of me, I took advantage of the opportunity to do a study of price ranges in the Crofton zip code (21114).
As you can see from this chart, the majority of Crofton town homes currently for sale are priced under $300,000, and the majority of detached homes on the market are priced over $400,000, with only two homes over $700,000.
Additionally, three homes are listed as “other” and not included in this chart – they are identified as patio homes, garden-style, or semi-detached. These range from $249,990 to $385,000.
