Maryland Day 2010 – Don’t Miss It!
April 23rd, 2010 Categories: News
In addition to the Spring Craft Fair in Crofton tomorrow, you’ll want to attend Maryland Day 2010 at the University of Maryland with your family. There truly is something for everyone!
Check out the schedule of events at the University of Maryland and, with a little planning, maybe you can fit in both the Spring Craft Fair and Maryland Day. Here are some highlights and links from their website… be sure to click through to learn more.
Ag Day Avenue – “Explore this neighborhood to learn why the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is not just about farming.”
Arts Alley – “This is the place to explore your artistic talents and enjoy a showcase of performances from our students and faculty.”
Biz & Society Hill – “This neighborhood features exciting events for all ages in architecture, business, journalism, public affairs and social sciences.”
Global Village – “Come see international cooking demonstrations and dance to a different beat while you learn about our international community and partnerships.”
Science & Tech Way – “Get ready to learn the coolest stuff. Come see where physics, biology, engineering, chemistry, mathematics and more collide.”
Sports & Rec Row – “Interested in trying a new sport or meeting some of the university’s coaches and student-athletes? Head over to this neighborhood.”
Terp Town Center – “Located in the center of campus, come here to learn about our schools and colleges, catch live performances under the Big Top and find a bite to eat…”
Surely there will be something happening on campus at the University of Maryland tomorrow that will interest you and others in your family! If it should happen to rain, some events won’t be affected because they’re being held inside.
By the way, the above photo was taken at Maryland Day 2007 when this little girl was writing her own “Honor Code” to pledge academic integrity. Your kids will learn all kinds of things at Maryland Day!
Don’t miss it, because there won’t be another Maryland Day until Spring 2011.
