Real Estate Sales since April 15 in the “Greater Crofton Area” – Crofton, Davidsonville, Gambrills & Odenton – seem to indicate that the tax credit has brought home buyers out of the woodwork. And it wasn’t just the first-time buyers who were home-shopping.
Homes listed from $167,900 – $799,900 found new prospective owners between April 15 and April 25:
Crofton: 13 homes went under contract, including 8 contingencies and 5 firm contracts. 6 are detached homes, 1 is a condo, and the remaining 6 are townhomes. List prices ranged from $199,800 to $624,900. Still on the market are 154 other homes for buyers to snap up before Friday.
Davidsonville: 2 detached homes went under contract in Davidsonville; one is contingent and the other is a firm contract. List prices were $318,303 and $799,900. There are 46 homes still available for sale in Davidsonville.
Gambrills: There was just one sale in Gambrills, a condo in the over-55 community of Village at Waugh Chapel. It was a contingent contract for a property listed at $167,900. There are 64 active listings still on the market in Gambrills.
Odenton: 22 homes went under contract in Odenton, ranging in price from $185,000 to $514,900. 8 of them were non-contingent and 14 do have contingencies. 2 were detached homes, 7 were condos/duplexes, and 13 were townhomes. 186 homes remain for sale in Odenton
These numbers were recorded at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 26, and there probably will be a few last-minute sales reported throughout the week, as the opportunity for tax credit runs out for Crofton area home buyers today.
