Restaurants and Retailers Honor America’s Veterans
November 7th, 2010 Categories: Crofton Events

There aren’t many holidays that have more meaning than Veteran’s Day. Most of us know and love a veteran, and we’re usually “wowed” to hear his or her stories of service. I guess that must be true of many business owners, too, because so many of them are reaching out to honor veterans on November 11 this year.
Here are some special events you may want to share with veterans in your life who may not have heard about them:
Fee-Free Day at National Parks
To honor America’s service men and women, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that areas managed by the department will not charge entrance fees on Thursday, November 11, 2010.
RESTAURANTS

Applebee’s is giving a free entree to veterans and active duty military on Veteran’s Day, November 11.

Veterans can receive a free meal at Golden Corral on November 15th.

As an expression of Outback Steakhouse’s appreciation to our Country’s veterans and active duty military*, a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage of choice (one non-alcoholic drink or one draft Anheuser Busch beer except where prohibited by law) will be available to them at every Outback in the country on Veterans Day.
