Shredfest to Safeguard Private Documents

Arundel Federal Savings Bank will sponsor another Shredfest tomorrow, September 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you don’t have to bank with them to benefit.

The Severna Park Branch at 598 Benfield Road welcomes everyone who is concerned about safely discarding personal papers that might put you at risk for identity theft, if discarded curbside.  These may include bills, medical records, bank statements, pre-approved credit offerings, travel itineraries, tax returns, insurance papers or anything else containing your social security number, birth date or account numbers.  You can watch as they are shredded in a Pro-Shred truck on site.

Cardboard is excluded, and each participant is limited to 3 boxes or bags of personal papers.  Be sure to remove paperclips and staples.

There will be some giveaways , including coupons from local businesses and refreshments. Why procrastinate?
