Mark your calendars, folks, because Santa Claus is coming on Monday, November 26, to light the Christmas Tree in front of Crofton Country Club
Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. in front of the clubhouse, with caroling by the Seton Children’s Choir. Santa is expected to arrive on the back of a fire truck, and will visit with Crofton kids in the clubhouse for about an hour.
The Crofton tree-lighting began about 40 years ago with a live evergreen tree at the Crofton Village Green. When the first tree grew too big to attach lights, a second tree was planted. Eventually, that tree grew too large and the light tree around the flag pole became the new normal.
If you don’t have kids, you’ll probably still enjoy this Crofton tradition. See you there!
