Crofton Cub Scouts Court New Members Today

Don’t be surprised if your youngster comes home from school today asking to become a Cub Scout.  Members of Crofton Pack 731 will be wearing their “Class B” uniform to school today – their yellow “Do Your Best” t-shirt or perhaps their “Camp Tomahawk” or “Tiger” shirt.

Crofton Cub Scout Pack 731And they’ll be talking about all the fun they’ve had at Camp Tomahawk, winter camping, participating in the Pinewood Derby, and working together in the Scouting for Food project or Crofton Elementary School Clean-up.  Their excitement about scouting will be infectious!

If you want to find out why your son is so enthused about scouting, you can attend Pack 731’s Recruiting Night at 7 p.m. tomorrow, September 5, at Crofton Elementary School.  By the way, while they meet at Crofton Elementary, Cub Scouts don’t have to go to school there.  They attend several elementary schools throughout the Crofton-Gambrills area.

You can do a little advance homework before the event by checking out the Cub Scouts website for general information and the Pack 731 website to learn more about their activities here in the Crofton area.  Chances are that you’ll get pretty excited, too.

Crofton Pack 731 is just one more reason why families LOVE living in Crofton.  If you’re reading this because you anticipate a transfer to Fort Meade, Andrews AFB, Northrop Grumman, or you’re relocating for a job anywhere in the D.C.-Baltimore area, I’d like to show you what else Crofton has to offer.  There are organized activities for all ages and homes for all budgets.
