17 Days ‘Til The Crofton Holiday House Tour

Holiday House TourTime is running out to get your tickets for the Crofton Holiday House Tour on Saturday, December 13.  More than 80% of available tickets are already gone!

In addition to historic Linthicum Walks, you’ll have an opportunity to see six Crofton homes all decorated for the holidays.  What a great opportunity to get lots of decorating ideas for the holidays (and year round), without leaving Crofton or being tempted to spend a lot of money.  Neither the homes nor their decorations are for sale.

Today, I’m going to tell give you a sneak peak into three of these lovely homes:

1631 ETON WAY – Mr. & Mrs. Art Smail

The rooms of this Dutch Colonial are festively decorated for the holidays with fresh greenery, fruits, flowers and Christmas treasures.  Custom molding, built-ins, hardwood floors and plantation shutters reflect the home’s traditional colonial character, making it cozy and comfortable.  The family room, with its large stone fireplace, has an open feel with plenty of windows overlooking the golf course.

1614 EARLHAM AVENUE – Mr. & Mrs. Palmer Salisbury

Holiday treasures and foreign objects d’art about in this quaint Crawford-built “Compton-model” home surrounded by mature trees.  You will find a skillful blend of precious antiques with modern colors and furnishings, plus a garden in the back yard this is just as eclectic and lovely as the residence.  It is truly a warm and comfortable setting for entertaining during the holidays and year round.

1597 ETON WAY – Mr. & Mrs. Nate Wood

Five years ago, the Woods moved into this split level home and started a major renovation focusing on an open design, where each room flows into the next.  A wall of windows in the great room overlooks the 8th hole at Crofton Country Club golf course, giving this home a contemporary flair with traditional twist.  Decorated for Christmas, this home will surely provide the spirit of the holiday season.

The Crofton Holiday House Tour takes place on Saturday December 13, from 11 a.m. ‘til 5 p.m.  You can visit the homes in any order, at any time during the tour.  Throughout the day, refreshments will be served at historic Linthicum Walks, which is included on the tour.

Tickets are $15, or $12 in advance.

This event is sponsored by the Crofton Village Garden Club to fund beautification projects in the Crofton area.  Their most recent project is a garden on Crofton Parkway near the main entrance to “Old” Crofton, welcoming residents and visitors with a display of native and ornamental plants.
