Pack 731 to Spruce Up Crofton Church Grounds Tomorrow

Prince of PeacePrince of Peace Presbyterian Church on Crofton Parkway has made their Fellowship Hall available to Crofton organizations since Day One.  My sons attended cub scout meetings there 30 years ago, and Prince of Peace remains the Charter Organization for Pack 731, even though the Pack outgrew this facility years ago.

This Saturday, you’ll see Pack members and their families cleaning up the Church grounds between 8 a.m. and 12 noon.  They’ll be bringing their own leaf removal equipment, rakes, shovels, work gloves, and tarps to help clean out the woods behind the church parking lot.

Boy raking leavesLet’s make a point to drive by so we can honk and wave to say “Thanks!” when we see the scouts in their “Do Your Best” tee shirts.  Even though we may not be members of Prince of Peace, we probably belong to a community organization that meets at Fellowship Hall now or did in the past.  Besides, this church is the first building many people see when they drive into old Crofton, so their well-groomed grounds impact our community’s curb appeal in a big way.

Thank you, Pack 731, for choosing Prince of Peace as your outdoor service project for Spring.
