Crofton Artist on Display Sunday

You may know Crofton resident Rosanne Thiel as your neighbor on Farlow Street… or as a member of Crofton Village Garden Club or other community organization.  Then again, you may know the art of Rosanne Colvard

Art GalleryDid you know these ladies are one and the same?

Rosanne’s art will be on display Sunday, May 3, during an art reception at Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis (333 Dubois Road) from 12–1:30 p.m., along with that of David Diaz and Gail Higginbottom.

“I have always loved the act of creating and am inspired by nature and color as well as textures,” says Rosanne.  “The complexities of printmaking with all the various techniques intrigues me.”   She also loves color, as demonstrated in her paintings, which are usually large and contemplative.

Rosanne Colvard LithoRosanne obtained her Master of Art degree at the University of Maryland and studied print-making with Alan Kaneshiro at the National Collection of Fine Arts (now the National Portrait Gallery).  She was a founding member of the Washington Women’s Printmaking group and she is a member of the Maryland Federation of Art and the Western Shore Artist Group.

Let’s support our Crofton neighbor by attending this Art Show and Reception on Sunday, May 3.

In fact, why not head to Annapolis a little early so you can enjoy Sunday brunch overlooking the Annapolis City Dock at Buddy’s Crabs & Ribs?  ‘Sounds like a great way to spend a Spring day in Maryland.  See you there?
