Maryland Pays $25 For Planting a Tree

The State of Maryland may give you $25 for planting a tree in the yard of your home in Crofton, Davidsonville, Gambrills, Odenton or any other community in Maryland.  Not every tree is eligible, however…  it must be one of the following species:

Plant a Tree

All you have to do is print the coupon and purchase an approved variety of tree at an approved nursery.  In Anne Arundel County, your coupon can be redeemed only at Homestead Gardens, Greenstreet Gardens or Evergreen Gene’s Garden Center.

Why, in these days of severe State Budget shortfalls, is Maryland paying residents to plant a tree?  That’s a question you’ll have to ask our Governor and Legislators.
