Music notesThe cast:  Dozens of students will participate in the Crofton Middle School production of The Pajama Game as stage and production crew, actors, singers and dancers, including (in the order they appear):  Kyle Hefner, Jay Lee, Caleb Foster, Timothy Kandra, Andrea Sturgis, David Ossman, Ellis Carroll, Jake Porter, Mitchell HJallworth, Logan Heflin, Lucy Bobbin, Morgan Gingerich, Erin Fitzgerald, Miranda Snyder, Justin Henderson, and David Napierala.

The story:  The Pajama Game is a musical based on a novel (7½ Cents) by Richard Bissell, with music by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The story deals with labor troubles in a pajama factory, where worker demands for a seven-and-a-half cents raise are going unheeded. In the midst of this ordeal, love blossoms between Babe (Lucy Bobbin), the grievance committee head, and Sid (David Ossman), the new factory superintendent.

A little history:  This Tony Award-wionning show originally opened on Broadway in 1954, the movie version was released in 1957, and it has been revised on Broadway twice –  in 1973 and 2006.

Tech week begins on Sunday, March 27, and it will be a busy week for everyone involved in the show.  Good luck and, as the saying goes, “Break a Leg.”
