Selling Your Crofton Home – Step Three

Step #3:  PROPERTY CONDITIONIt’s highly unlikely anyone will buy your home unless they can imagine themselves living there. Spruce up your home before putting it on the marketThat’s the main reason you hear real estate agents say “neutral sells”.  While I agree with that, in theory, I’ve listed and sold a lot of homes with a room or two painted red or another strong color.

When I assist sellers with staging their homes for sale, I focus on these five aspects:






If your home passes this test, inside and out, you’ll be off to a great start at making sure your home is salable.

While we’re talking about condition, let me point out that Maryland and federal law require certain disclosures regarding property condition:
